President Nikolic lays wreaths at Liberators Memorial
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic laid wreaths at the entrance to the Liberators of Belgrade Memorial in Belgrade Saturday, in a ceremony marking the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in World War II.
President Nikolic laid wreaths in the presence of an honor guard, the Serbian Army Guard Orchestra and representatives of war veterans' associations.
The president signed a guest book at the memorial book, with a message that follows:
“As long as there is one Serbian citizen, one Serb left, and as long there is human remembrance, we will be teaching our children that they should always strive hard to justify the life and freedom that you have bestowed upon them.”
