President Nikolic to attend African Union summit in Ethiopia

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will from January 30 to February 1 attend the opening of the 26th African Union Summit in Addis Abeba, titled "African Year of Human Rights, with Particular Focus on the Rights of Women."

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will from January 30 to February 1 attend the opening of the 26th African Union Summit in Addis Abeba, titled "African Year of Human Rights, with Particular Focus on the Rights of Women."

During the working visit, President Nikolic will also meet with the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, Chairperson of the African Union Commission Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission Erastus Mwencha, Nikolic's presidential press office said in a statement.

Nikolic will also use the opportunity to thank UNESCO member states that have not backed the initiative for so-called "Kosovo" to become a member of the organisation, the statement said.
