President Nikolic meets with SASA delegation
Belgrade - A delegation of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts asked Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic for support in establishing a Center for Digitization of SASA.
President Nikolic spoke in Belgrade with a SASA delegation led by the President of the Academy, Vladimir Kostic, the presidential press office said.
The Center's task would be to digitize, permanently store and publicly present the artistic cultural heritage of our people and the University would also be involved.
President Nikolic noted that founding this Center is a matter of national interest and that, as such, it should be provided by law with stable sources of funding.
The delegation said it wanted SASA to become a type of audio-visual archive of Serbia's cultural heritage, making it far more accessible to people.
