President Nikolic meets with Mulk Holdings chairman

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic spoke with Mukl Holding Chairman Shaji Ul Mulk in Abu Dhabi Thursday to discuss cooperation on investments, including a 20 mln dollar investment that would create 100 new jobs at the company's Serbian plant.

Serbia-UAE bilateral relations are excellent and the economic aspect of the cooperation is an example for the whole world, the presidential press office quoted President Nikolic as saying.

President Nikolic said the synergy of Serbia's know-how, outstanding geographical position and rich natural resources on one hand and the experience and the capital coming from the UAE on the other hand were a recipe for success.

Mulk Holding, which has thousands of employees in 11 countries, has been operating in Serbia through its Banatski Karlovci-based subsidiary, Alubond Europe, since 2010.

The company plans to expand and modernise the plant.
