President Nikolic meets with Rogozin

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic talked with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin in Belgrade on Monday.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Monday in a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin that Serbia would not ask for concessions from Russia.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin said that he would carry out President Putin's order to analyze and propose what Serbia needed within the shortest possible timeframe.

Nikolic expressed his surprise over Croatia's negotiations with Norway concerning the purchase of a NASAMS missile system for its armed forces, given that there would be no armed conflict in the region.

“We will certainly not make war against Croatia, particularly not a ridiculous war against NATO. Serbia will not invest huge funds into missiles with which it would attack Croatia,” the president said, extending thanks to Russia for taking care about Serbia's security.
