President Nikolic with the President of Egypt
Belgrade, 28 September 2015- President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic talked to President of Egypt General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
The two Presidents discussed the migration crisis, which President Nikolic referred to as a big test for Europe and its core values. President Nikolic particularly highlighted that Serbia would continue to treat the migrants in a responsible and civilized manner, in the future as well.
President Sisi expressed his belief that the migrant crisis will not be solved until the conflicts in the Middle East, in Syria and Iraq primarily, be settled.
The Serbian President acquainted the Egyptian President with the arguments used by Serbia to stave off the Albanian initiative designed to help the admission of the so-called “Republic of Kosovo” to UNESCO. President Sisi promised to have deep understanding for Serbian positions, in the spirit of the traditional friendship between Egypt and Serbia.
