President Nikolic receives outgoing ambassadors of Iran, Pakistan
Belgrade - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic Wednesday held separate meetings with the outgoing ambassadors of Iran and Pakistan, Majid Fahim Pour and Arif Mahmood.
President Nikolic and Pour said Serbia-Iran trade had been on an increase, expressing the expectation it would soon match the levels from the era of the former Yugoslavia, the presidential press office said in a statement.
At the meeting with Mahmoud, President Nikolic said Serbia and Pakistan were traditionally friendly countries despite certain disagreements, such as on the status of Kosovo-Metohija.
President Nikolic added he understood many countries were under pressure over Kosovo-Metohija and that he was confident Pakistan had also been greatly pressured by some countries.
Mahmoud noted his country was very interested in cooperation with Serbia in all areas, which he said could become quite significant in the future.
