President Vučić attends the commencement of works on the section of the New Belgrade-Surčin road
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attended today the marking of the works' commencement on the section of the New Belgrade - Surčin road, the new city highway to connect Belgrade with the "Miloš the Great" highway. During the tour of the construction site, President Vučić said that the exit road to the "Miloš Veliki" highway would be shortened by about 10 kilometres.

"Thank you to the people who work hard on this important road that connects New Belgrade with Surčin. This part of the city will become one of the most beautiful parts of Belgrade. This entire project is not just highway construction but a development project that brings many new contents. Surčin will gain a lot and will become one of the fastest-growing municipalities," said President Vučić.
President Vučić also announced that the construction of the National Stadium in Surčin will begin this year.

"The National Stadium construction will be an extraordinary development project for the municipality of Surčin, but also for the whole of Serbia. It will be large, will be made of wood and will be one of the most modern stadiums in Europe," said the President, adding that the National Stadium will become the new gathering point of citizens and businessmen since good infrastructure will be built there and there will be a good traffic connection with the city.
In a conversation with Ambassador Chen Bo, President Vučić said that he planned for tomorrow a joint visit of the works on the highway section Preljina - Požega.

The marking of the beginning of the works was also attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Chen Bo, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirović, Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojičić, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesić and New Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Šapić.
