Republic of Serbia
 
The Republic of Serbia is a democratic state based on the rule of law and social justice, principles of civil democracy, human and minority rights and freedoms and adherence to European principles and values.
 
Serbia pronounced its independence on June 5, 2006, as the international legal successor to the State Union of Serbia-Montenegro.
 
The Constitution of the Republic of Serbia came into effect on November 8th, 2006.
