Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received earlier today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the region.

President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko agreed that the relations between Serbia and Russia are underlined by deep trust and mutual understanding. They affirmed that implementation of the agreed projects, especially in the area of energetics, transportation infrastructure and high technologies - keeps making a steady progress. President Vučić said it results from the intensive political dialogue at the high level along with the expectation that Serbia will soon host yet another high Russian official so that we can jointly mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade.

The President and the Ambassador also exchanged the experiences on the measures undertaken by the two countries to improve the demographic circumstances, considering the concern that both Serbia and Russia demonstrate regarding the number of their respective populations.
