Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met earlier today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko to discuss preparations for the visit of President Vladimir Putin. In that regard, the two interlocutors addressed the current issues of Serbian-Russian relations and bilateral cooperation.

President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko reviewed the results of the fight against the COVID-19 infectious disease in the two countries. Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko briefed President Vučić as to the progress of Russian experts in the vaccine development.
 
The two interlocutors also observed the course of the EU facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, as well as the opportunities for economic cooperation between Belgrade and Priština to be the subject of talks in Washington in the coming days. President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko also discussed other current issues in the region, agreeing that preserving peace and stability is of the utmost importance.
