Meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia
President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met today with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Igor Zorčič, with whom he agreed that this visit also confirms the friendship and partnership between the two countries.
President Vučić highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation and all other forms of Serbian-Slovenian ties, especially in the economy, where more and more investments are being made on both sides.
President Vučić emphasised the importance of Slovenia's support for Serbia's European path, particularly during Slovenia's EU presidency.
The Slovenian Parliament Speaker pointed out that the EU enlargement to the Western Balkans remains one of the presidency priorities and that Slovenia attaches great importance to holding the EU-Western Balkans Summit.
He also welcomed the Open Balkans initiative as a way to work more closely in the region.
