Meeting with delegation of the Senate of the Republic of France
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today with the delegation of the Senate of the Republic of France and on that occasion pointed out that Serbia and France constantly confirm their true and lasting friendship, as well as their determination to cooperate in all areas of common interest. In this regard, President Vučić cited examples of successful economic cooperation, such as the participation of eminent French companies in the management of the airport and the construction of the subway in Belgrade, stressing the importance of joint projects for the economic progress of our country.
President Vučić expressed gratitude for France's support in Serbia's European integration, which, as the President of the France-Western Balkans Friendship Group in the French Senate, Marta de Cidrac, said, we can count on in the future.
The French senator pointed out that they are closely monitoring the reforms and economic progress in Serbia, with the desire for even more companies from France to observe the investment opportunities. They added their intention to organise a presentation of Serbian economic potentials in the Senate.
President Vučić and members of the French Senate delegation also discussed other areas of cooperation.
President Vučić indicated that for Serbia, considering the reputation and influence of France, the attention that President Macron shows towards our country is of the greatest importance. He also expressed hope that the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries will be even stronger.
