Meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met earlier today with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Chen Bo and briefed her about the talks in Washington and the course of the dialogue in Brussels.

President Vučić conveyed greetings to President Xi and expressed gratitude for China's political support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. At the same time, he confirmed Serbia's support for the "one China" policy.
Ambassador Chen pointed out that China's position towards the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo remains firm and unchangeable, and that China will continue with international support to Serbia on that issue.
President Vučić said that Serbia would maintain a sincere friendship with China and continue to develop bilateral cooperation with it, as a reliable partner in all areas, including telecommunications.
President Vučić and Ambassador Chen agreed that the projects that Serbia and China are working on together - thanks to mutual understanding and a comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as personal contact between President Vučić and President Xi - are progressing well. At the same time, they discussed future projects in the field of infrastructure and agreed that all preparations for the realisation of the Fruška Gora Corridor project are advancing well.
During the meeting with Ambassador Chen, President Vučić reiterated Serbia's determination to maintain military neutrality.
