Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko observed the situation in the region. President Vučić expressed his concern regarding the atmosphere in Kosovo and Metohija in the aftermath of the elections and triggering of tensions by Priština. He said he was unaware of the poison that acts selectively on the ethnic grounds, but he will insist on a comprehensive investigation and punishment of liars and frauds who organised this infamous media action.

President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko tackled the final preparation for the visit of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to occur on Saturday, the 19th October. They said the programme of the visit is intensive and content-rich and that it will reflect in the best manner the excellent political relations and the wide spectrum of the cooperation between Serbia and Russia. As the two interlocutors emphasised, the particular importance is attributed to the joint celebration of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade which endorses the free-loving tradition and fraternity of the two peoples.
