Farewell visit of the Ambassador of Japan

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today for a farewell visit the Ambassador of Japan Junichi Maruyama and thanked him for his dedicated work during his diplomatic post in Belgrade, during which political dialogue and economic cooperation between the two countries observed significant progress.

He expressed satisfaction with the performance of Japanese companies in our country as their working practice represents a true example of commitment and work ethic. He also expressed the expectation of achieving good cooperation with the new Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.

Ambassador Maruyama expressed gratitude to President Vučić and the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the extraordinary cooperation during his work in our country and said he was leaving satisfied that, during his three-year term, other high-ranking officials also visited Serbia besides the Japanese Prime Minister.

President Vučić wished Ambassador Maruyama much professional and personal success.
