Meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Aleksandar Botsan-Kharchenko, to discuss the current issues of Serbian-Russian relations and bilateral cooperation, and in particular the implementation of specific agreements and joint projects in the field of energy. On that occasion, President Vučić informed Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko that Serbia would complete the gas pipeline by the end of the year.

President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko discussed all negotiations conducted by the Serbian delegation in Washington and Brussels with representatives of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Priština.
 
President Vučić thanked the Russian Federation for its support in the United Nations and other international organisations. The two interlocutors also discussed other current regional issues.
 
President Vučić and Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko discussed the results of the fight against the infectious disease COVID-19 in the two countries. Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko briefed President Vučić about the progress that experts in Russia are making in the development of the vaccine against the coronavirus, which will also be available to the citizens of Serbia. The two interlocutors agreed that without an appropriate vaccine, humanity would not overcome this contagious disease.
