Meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met earlier today with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Budapest to discuss bilateral relations, cooperation and solidarity in the fight against the coronavirus, as well as plans to support the economic development of the two countries following the end of the pandemic.

In the presence of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Serbia, Siniša Mali, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, President Vučić and Prime Minister Orbán also discussed the migrant crisis and the process of European integration of Serbia.

The two countries are intensively working on plans for cooperation in eliminating the economic consequences of the pandemic, given the great potential and progress in economic relations in the previous period.

President Vučić asked Prime Minister Orbán as a great friend of Serbia to advocate for swift inclusion of Serbia and the Western Balkans in the EU assistance programs to combat the coronavirus and to remedy the economic consequences of the pandemic.
