President meets the Palace Museum Director

The two interlocutors discussed the cooperation between the two countries as well as the use of Chinese experiences and technologies in digitalisation of cultural heritage.  

 

President Vučić pointed out that the visit of Director Wang represents an additional impulse for the further extension of cooperation between the Serbian and Chinese innovators and experts in the development of new technologies and solutions aimed at protection and digitalisation of the rich cultural heritage of Serbia and China.

 

„Cooperation in the field of culture represents a bridge which connects and makes people closer and which contributes to the better mutual understanding. Your visit to Serbia has huge importance in the context of further enrichment not only of cultural cooperation between our countries, but also of the overall strategic partnership between Serbia and China", stressed President Vučić.

 

Director Wang said that he is truly devoted to Serbia and committed to the development of cooperation and strengthening of friendship with Serbia. He invited all Serbian experts to work with their Chinese counterparts on technology researches in the Forbidden City Museum.

 

Exchange of exhibitions and exhibits between the National Museum in Belgrade and the Palace Museum in Beijing has also been agreed during the meeting.

 

The meeting was also attended by the Minister without portfolio responsible for innovations and technological development, Nenad Popović and Director of the National Museum in Belgrade, Bojana Borić Brešković.
