President Vučić receives letters of credence from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan
President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received today the letter of credence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamil Khasiyev and wished him a successful diplomatic mandate in Belgrade.
President Vučić said that Serbia attaches special importance to the strategic partnership with Azerbaijan and that in the coming period we need to work together to strengthen economic and any other cooperation. He pointed out that the upcoming visit of President Aliyev will give a new dimension to our cooperation and, on that occasion, sent cordial greetings to President Aliyev.
President Vučić expressed special satisfaction that Serbia, together with Azerbaijan, as the chairman of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, is organising the celebration of an important jubilee in Belgrade - the 60th anniversary of the NACM founding. He added that the two countries are linked by the commitment to firm respect for international law and expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Ambassador Khasiyev conveyed the greetings of President Aliyev and said that the agreements, to be signed during the upcoming visit, will provide greater opportunities for cooperation.
